Terrible service, someone else’s soap still in our shower dirty

This was a disaster right when i checked in. I arrived about 2 am after a long day of flight delays and I was told i had to wait for her system…. At 2 am and she simply disappeared. I was exhausted but needed to wait. I finally got to my room and noticed the sheets on one bed were clearly not cleaned and there was an opened soap in the shower. I was tired, so went to bed in the other bed which I was hoping was clean. Up early, no shuttle reservations so had to stand in the rain to be sure I would make the shuttle in line. Some folks needed to wait another 30 minutes and were not happy. Upon check out, they asked if everything was ok. I expressed my frustration with check in, the soap and used sheets and her response from behind the desk was “I will make a note of it”. Not let me fix this, I am sorry.. nothing. I am a diamond with Hilton properties and this should never have a Hampton sign. Never again.

Low level of cleanliness, very old outdated room, the bath drain was clogged up so the water would raise, some of the staff were very unhelpful and the bar is a joke, they tell you to order food elsewhere and don't even serve any non-alcoholic drink. The location is great as very closed to the JFK and they have a shuttle, however the driver told me that there might not be space to me...in which case I would have to wait another 30minutes. Definitively won't return

A really good hotel. One of the cheapest nearby JFK airport (at the dates we booked anyway). Nice clean room and public areas. Hot breakfast included in the room rate, A very useful free shuttle bus to the airport which also links to the Airtrain that takes you to Jamacia where the E line subway goes straight into Manhattan. (This is the cheapest and fasted way to get there). The only issue was that, as a Hilton HHonors member I was given digital access using my phone but this was not always very efficient in use. If you have this service, I recommend you also pick up a key card from the desk, especially if staying a few nights or more,

I rated this 4 stars because of the staff, their friendliness and helpfulness and curtesy. The rooms are ok, nothing fancy and no fan in restroom which made for steamy room. Cannot rate breakfast that was offered as ate out. Like that check in was up until midnight as we arrived very early and we had lots of time to see city. Check out was very simple and took no time. Hotel Reception staff including Manager couldn’t have been more polite and supportive….. We had an issue with our booking as BA Holidays left a Credit Card On file but no notes to allow the hotel instructions to process. On another note Bar staff member who started work dead in 5pm which is when the bar should be open and ready had a superb attitude… NOT.Very arrogant and abrupt. Maybe arrive early so you have time to prepare.
